More of Whitley's Bridals! :)
We were originally supposed to do Whitley's bridal pictures in the middle of May, but she had something happen to her that I thought only existed in a nightmare a girl might have a month before her wedding . . . The alterations people messed up her dress so bad that she had to buy a new one! It makes me want to cry just thinking about it. So, she ended up buying a new dress (which is the PRETTIEST DRESS I'VE EVER SEEN!!) and we just barely did her bridals on Friday. Her wedding is next week (eek!), so I'm editing like crazy to get these pictures done so she can have some to show at her reception.
So, the day we scheduled her session it was windy and pooring rain. She already had the bouquet ordered to be ready this day, so even if we had more time before the wedding, there was no way it could be rescheduled. So they called the place that her reception is going to be at to see if they would let us use the room they would be doing their reception in to do her bridals. Luckily, it wasn't scheduled for any other events, so we were able to do her pictures there! Yay! I'm actually really glad it ended up this way. It was so fun to do some pictures with the off camera flash indoors. I think we got some really neat looking pictures from it. Here are some favorites so far! :)

The Jenson Family Preview
I had quite the productive day today! :) I really needed to get some things done today, so it was "movie day" for the kids, and "accomplish something" day for me.
I'm unshowered and I look terrible and smell terrible right now, BUT I got all of these pictures done today that are in this post (18 of them). I printed the pictures that I took of my own family recently and I replaced 9 of our photo frames with those pictures . . . this is a HUGE deal to me - these are the first EVER pictures hung in our home that I took!! I'm so excited about this! AND I got most of our downstairs cleaned and scrubbed (with help from my wonderful husband). I'll finish the rest of it tomorrow and get working on the upstairs. I'm usually a clean freak and usually keep my house pretty clean most of the time, but with the way things have been over the last little while, it's nothing short of a miracle that some of our house got scrubbed today (gross, I know - but that's just how life is sometimes).
Anyway, back to the pictures part . . . I LOVED everything about this session. This family was so sweet! The kids are cute angels, mom and dad are super nice, and you could really tell how much they all love each other and I think it really shows in their pictures. We had a little bit of a rough start . . . we both were at the right place on time but at different parts of the location. I tried calling them, but the number I had was wrong. Our session was scheduled for 6:00, and this so so patient family waited until 6:30 before calling their missing photographer to see if I was still coming. I felt so bad! The location we were at had a reception going on at it, so I suggested we go to a different location. So we went to this other location and found out the the guy who owns the place upped his fee for photographers to double what it was before (SO ANNOYING!!!), so we decided to go back to our original location and just work around the outside of the place instead of on the inside. I'm so glad we did! There was lots of great places to take pictures. We didn't end up getting started until around 7pm, but we were totally done in about an hour! And I'm so excited to say this next part . . . this is the first family session I've done that I'm not going to have to cut and paste heads on the group pictures in photoshop!! This saves soooo much editing time.
I've done pictures for 3 different wonderful families this last week. You have no idea how much your fun sweet selves have made me feel so much less stressed about all that I have going on this month. Thank you! :)
P.S. Harry Potter traveled by boot and popped in for a couple of pictures during our session. He must have mistaken me for Lord Voldemort because he pointed his wand at me! . . . But don't worry, we got it all straightened out before he could say "expelliarmus!!" and send my camera flying into the air and crashing into a million pieces. ;)
